I was very disappointed with this product. You need to look at the advertised images very closely to see that the back of the handle is made of rubbery plastic. All but one of the images show the product at angles that promote it as a metal product, when the construction is much cheaper and of low quality, and you cannot see that the handle is entirely cheap plastic, with a steel cover across the front in any images.If you leave this on the side of a pan that's cooking food, it's highly likely it will melt into the food. In addition to this, the rubbery plastics tend to degrade much quicker than metals, so I would expect to need to replace this every 10 years or so as it will not last a lifetime like it should if it were steel. All of the promotional images only show the stainless steel front of the handle, and only one shows the plastic underneath, but I must have missed that so that part is my fault.

I use it to make crepes. Solid, thick steel construction, works well.

I’ve been on the hunt for a good potato peeler. Last one cracked then disappeared. Some I got were useless, uncomfortable to use, took off too much or not enough skin, this one is fabulous. comfortable to hold, takes off a nice amount of peel and it feels strong so I shouldn’t have to replace it for a long time.
