1 of the tiles lost its adhesiveness and fell on the stove. Within seconds, the whole stove caught fire and all the tiles melted. My $400 exhaust fan is ruined as well.These tiles shouldn't be sold. They are not fire resistant at all and are actually the opposite.I am lucky that my whole house didn't burn down.

They come well packaged and are easy to install. You can actually cut them with a razor knife with heavy scoring but it might leave a little burr. They recommend a grinder but I’m not that patient nor are they heavy enough to really need that to cut. Even with my little grinder it was quicker to score them. And yes, they really are metal!

I purchased 1 box initially but 1/2 way through I ordered a 2nd box and SO glad I did. HIGHLY RECOMMEND adhering with adhesive. We did not and my Chef husband is constantly pressing tiles back to the wall. None have fallen as we took our time prepping before applying. The heat from the stove is the culprit even though we use the range fan. Plan your layout carefully before use. And be prepared to cut tiles. Also purchase molding to give a clean look. If I use these again, we will apply with adhesive in areas with heat/steam. Very satisfied with the results.
