So far, seems to work pretty good. My pond could probably use a larger system but this is a good start. I made some changes by replacing the air hoses with longer self sinking hoses. I'm running the system just off the solar panels and so far, so good.

This is a great small Oxygen Pump for your smaller yard ponds. I love the fact that it comes with solar panels, so that even if there is a loss of power my fish are still covered with oxygen. We have a lot of hurricanes and bad weather that can and has left us without power for days and sometimes weeks. The last thing I need is another load on the generator when everything is down or face worrying about the fish. It also comes with a 110v power plug so that you can run on the house power if you so choose. I think it would be really cool if it came automatically with a photosensor switch that could sense when there was not enough light to power it and switch to house power or if it came with a battery to charge as well during the day and still operate at night. For the value however, its still a great value and product.

In theory this is a great idea but in really it doesn't work. I had issues on day one until it stopped working less than 30 days.

Needed this to keep the surface of the pond moving to help reduce duckweed take over. The gazebo at the end of the dock, in the middle of the pond, does have electric but I don't use it for this pump, I use the handy huge double solar panels. They are really big, a surprise!I screwed the solar panels to the dock where they will get sun just about all the time and put the pump to one side of the gazebo - nice long cord! Another pleasant surprise. The hose that comes with this could be longer, in my opinion, but it is about four feet long which does get the job done for what I want - surface disturbance. The air stones are rather light weight so I improvised and added a couple stones which keep the hose under the surface when the pump is doing an admirable job of blowing air to disturb the water surface. While not exactly quiet, this pump is not nearly as loud as our other one (that one sounds like an old hoover vacuum) and was almost unnoticeable from the pond banks. Very nice.Overall, very satisfied with this aerator!
