These circular cork trivets measure about 19.7 cm in diameter and six of them are 5.8 mm tall. They each appear to be exactly the same size and thickness. Apart from very small brown and black dots, all the pads have the same overall color. The raw material pressed to make the discs appears very fine. The trivets are somewhat flexible. As long nobody tries to fold one, they perform fine on a flat surface. We use them to protect a wooden kitchen table from water stains and hot serving dishes. Unlike silicone trivets which do not slide on most surfaces, cork will slide if pushed. These pads are actually more practical that way if you decide to move big plates or pots already on a pad. A single cork trivet also allows me to rotate a cold pizza stone on the counter beside the sink to be scraped clean. Metal would damage the counter or pizza stone, but cork is gentle on both surfaces.Simple and natural in the kitchen does the job.

Pros:- The set comes with 6 round heat resistant trivets, that are 8” in diameter.- These trivets are made from premium natural cork that are durable and water absorbable.- They are easy to clean, as you can simply wipe them or rinse them off.- The trivets have many uses in addition to simply being a pot warmer, they can also be used as a corkboard to display photos or crafts, plant bases, placemats, coasters and more.Cons:- They are quite pricey at $4.50 per pot warmer, especially when you can go to IKEA and it's 3 for $3 ($1 per cork pot warmer).- They seem to sometimes stick to the bottom of my pots, especially when cooking pasta and going to drain the water. They come off easy when they do though. Conclusion:These cork pot warmers work great at protecting your tables and countertops from your hot pots and pans. Keep in mind, that they are quite pricey and sometimes they do stick to the bottom of pots and pans.

I love using cork for a bunch of stuff as a maker and as an engineer as it has such great qualities.I also love that it looks good and can work really well as a simple heat resistant trivet. My mother passed last year and as such the yearly family Easter gathering has now come to my home.Bowls of steaming potatoes, cabbage, a big roasted rack of lamb and a lot of other very hot dishes serving pans were spread all over my table and these kept it perfectly undamaged.I was quite impressed.Nice thickness and a nice chamfer at the edge for a good look to match the great work.Highly recommended for whichever use you may have for them.
