My Rancilio Silvia is probably 2006 vintage. Although my power switch still worked, the LED died. I decided to replace the switch to ensure that I turned the power off. The process to replace the switch is very easy and takes minutes. BTW, I've considered upgrading from the Silvia, but with the Silvia (and Rocky grinder) parts are readily available from the internet and reasonably priced.
