Had an older under used ceil fan in a room seldom used. Revised the room by adding the remote capability to the fan Z Works great.

During a reorg, we misplaced the remote for a Hampton Bay ceiling fan. At first we tried to replace the receiver with a no-name WiFi one. This remote worked but the receiver kept on turning the lights on and off randomly - gave up after 6-8 different dip switch settings.In the end, we put back the Hampton Bay receiver and did find the original remote. Then I was able to prove this remote works but only with the no-name receiver and not the Hampton Bay one. This one (as well as the receiver) does not have an FCCID label which makes me think the frequencies they operate are not the correct ones for the US.

I have a 25 year old Honeywell fan that has the controller imbedded in the fan, as well as the 19 year old stand-alone kit on the master bedroom fan.This remote worked perfectly.This remote is slightly lighter than the original, due to the technology.The old was flooded with components inside, where this appear to be a single chip.Also, the switches are different.The old one had a metal type contact on the rubber button that would make contact to two traces on the circuit board. Eventually those contact on the board or rubber button wear out and there is no fixing them after a few years of disassembly and cleaning.This new remote has a click type feeling like a real switch, vs. a mushy rubber feel.While I didn't take the new remote apart, I feel that I would be able to replace the switch for a buck if needed.Very happy overall that this dip-switch programmable remote is still available.

This remote was meant to replace my Harbor Breeze ceiling fan remote that plastic case has cracked. The remote buttons and plastic case feels like original. I was originally worried that it might feels cheap but my worries are unfounded. The setting is quite easy, just check on your original remote setting which is near the batteries. There are 4 Dips setting, just set accordingly.
