8” felt buffing pad for use on electric buffer. Love these for buffing of course but that’s not all. Sure it will bring one heck of a shine to metal surfaces, but that’s not all it will do. Before I go any further I thing to be said, be mindful when using. Don’t ask me how I found out, repeatedly lol, but if you slip and hit your fingers or hand with or onto the spinning pad it will be unlike hitting a buffing pad of other types. The skin layer will no longer exsist and you will end up with a “rug burn” like you have never seen or dealt with-just saying. As for the buffing pad itself? It quickly removes minor scratches and leaves a brilliant surface, buffs metals to a brilliant shine, removes rust, scale and other surface contaminants like nothing I’ve seen prior. I by product is it really heats up the item so be mindful of that.Now I’m talking light rust ect. Don’t expect to take that relic you dug up in the back yard and return it to new like condition, that’s not what it’s made for. But in situations as discussed I have a new go to, so will you once you try this out.

This wool wheel came tightly packed. The edges of the wheel were semi-hard or firm, and there was some weight to this wheel for being made from wool. I don't use this dry, but with a polishing compound. I actually mount this on a bench buffer, and don't use it on a grinder or drill. It's a good wheel, and there was nothing wrong with it when it was unpacked or in use. Happy with it.
