Another excellent offering from S'well my go-to water bottle brand. This little 10 oz tumbler is as cute as it is useful. It keeps my drinks cold in the summer, and hot in the winter. S'well's quality is always the best and this tumbler does not disappoint. I love the color and the powder finish feels good in your hand.The lid fits securely, and yes, it is leakproof with the exception of the hole for drinking. When the slide cover is fully covering the hole for drinking the contents will leak out through this hole, so it can't truly be considered leakproof.The lid is a little awkward to drink from. The sliding mechanism is a little flimsy and doesn't "lock" open or closed so it slides around a bit and I worry that it will get looser with continued use.

This is the second stainless steel drink holder we've gotten from S'well and I am every bit as impressed with the quality of this one. The metal itself is well formed and consistent, it feels solid in your hand, the colored coating looks great and has a nice texture. Even something like the lid on this one, which seems like it's just a piece of thin, clear plastic, feels like it's top notch when you handle and use it. My only thing with this one is it's truly quite small, smaller than my at home coffee mugs by a good bit and more like a rocks glass in stature. Because of that I'm not sure how often I'm going to get to use this because of it's capacity, if I'm bothering to load up a travel mug or water bottle it's usually because I'm heading out long enough that I want a beverage to sip on for hours. If you have kid's soccer games on fall mornings or take walks around the neighborhood in brisk weather or something like that I could see this being perfect though. It's a very comfortable size and weight when holding it and for a shorter outing on a brisk day where it's going to stay in your hand I could see this being an excellent fit. Overall it's a great drink container if it's the size you're looking for.

The tumbler is conveniently shaped, and thanks to its textured surface won't slip out of your hand. Azurite color is gorgeous. The label promises insulation for up to 2 hours of hot and 10 hours of cold drinks - it's a bit of a stretch: with the slider lid closed, it held the drink hot for about an hour and a half. The label on the bottom suggests hand washing, so that is what it will have to be.Now - about the lid: it is a simple press-in type, and the slider is just a piece of plastic moving along two cut out slots in the lid. In the beginning it felt pretty tight, but then quickly loosened up. There is no locking at either open or closed position - in fact, there is nothing other than two small tabs which keep the slider in place. While this design is sufficient to prevent accidental spills, it does not seal well at all. The slider can be popped out for cleaning, but with frequent cleaning this will eventually break. As for replacements - looks like S'well chose its own unique lid size, as the lids from their Texas and Florida competitors (and thus hundreds of aftermarket replacements) will not fit.Five stars for the tumbler, three stars for the lid - and four stars overall.

There is a lot to like about the performance. Heat retention while it is super hot lasts for hours and it will stay warm for an entire day without issue. It's comfortable to hold and balances well on a counter and such without moving or slipping around. It has a nice, textured powder-coated exterior that adds some dimension to the appearance. The lid can be a bit finicky at times, though. It can be a pain to open and close and can allow a small amount of liquid to pool up between the plastic and the slide. Overall, it's very good, but not absolutely perfect. However, for most needs this is more than enough for the value.
