This worked good at first. Used maybe 4 times and then a month later went to use it and completely stopped working! What a waste of money.

Recently purchased a low price item like this on Amazon. Awful. Had to spend more money but I got what I needed. The new machine is completely compatible with my large collection of vintage electronics.

Very happy with this replacement VCR. It works very well. My old VCR failed when I needed it most this last Christmas for memories to share with some visiting family. I purchased this SONY to salvage essential family memories off an old VHS tape of my oldest daughter's childhood memories from 1997 as a 3 year old who turned 4, capturing much of what that year was like for her. This SONY + a Diamond One Touch Video Capture device helped my save video memories for my daughter who will turn 30 in August. Her younger siblings (twins) may now get the chance to see family history moments now that have likely goon unseen for them. This product came packaged well, clean, and works like new. My salvage projected worked out and I got to enjoy good VHS movies I sill had around. I recomend this vendor and product.

We use primarily for recording tv shows. Recording via Smart tv has lesser quality (washed out/lighter) than with HD tv. We recommend the HD setup as 1st choice but we found picture quality acceptable for our needs with Smar tv. We also ran a direct HDMI line from cable box to 2nd input on smart tv to watch clear crisp TV without going through vcr (internet quality pic). Product delivered by seller was like new, with original remote and additional accessories for Smart/HD tv (impressive). The vcr was delivered in sealed plastic & additional packing. Customer service is outstanding, prompt, friendly, helpful & follow up to be sure you are satisfied. I highly recommend this seller and would gladly use again in the future.
