Screw on bottom does not allow 3-tier plates to sit level on table.

I should have read the reviews. This is falsely advertised as "HEAVY METAL". The stems are not thick enough to hold the weight and there's always the fear of them snapping. They do not screw on tight. They may be suitable for plastic plates and not for glass or ceramic plates. I can't return it as I've thrown away the packaging.

Very sturdy and good quality. I needed this for my 3 tier Cake stand and it is perfect, I will purchase more to make my cake stands.

Not the sturdiest. They were made of pot metal. But I still used them to make my own cake stand. I use it for decor purposes mainly anyways.
