Bought these to upgrade from my Prime Bookshelf series speakers. I got an all SVS 2.1 system with Prime Wireless Pro SoundBase amp and 3000 micro sub. All together it creates a relatively compact setup with amazingly clean and big sound. High quality and great performance. Im really happy with this purchcse and I enjoy my music and movies every time, worth the money.

DON'T BE AN AUDIOPHILE SNOB THAT POO-POOS SVS because of its brand name. No its not Focal, Bowers & Wilkins or KEF. But this new SVS Ultra Evolution line is a game changer and there is a NEW SHERIFF IN TOWN!So I compared the SVS Ultra Evolution bookshelf speakers against the B&W 705 S3 bookshelf and Focal Aria Evo X No1 Bookshelf speakers. I have always been a fan of the latter two and was only familiar with SVS subs. I own the SVS SB-3000 sub and a JL Audio E110 sub. My sound preference is a V-shape with deep tight bass and crystal clear treble. I powered them with a Marantz 40n Integrated Amp, a Rotel RAS0-5000 and a Technics SU-GX70. The Marantz and Technics powered all three speakers the best. The SVS Ultra Evolution bookshelf speakers are no short of amazing! The Focal Aria Evo X's didn't even come close to the Bowers & Wilkins 705 S3 or the SVS Ultra Evolutions as far as sound quality, clarity, crisp highs and overall listening enjoyment. The SVS's had the most depth and punch without taking away from the highs. The Bowers & Wilkins treble seemed a bit too high at times and sounded a by stale with little depth in the mids. I compared them back and forth for hours and ultimately, REGARDLESS OF PRICE, I just thoroughly enjoyed the SVS's the most. It was fun and engaging. The build quality of the SVS was 9/10 compared to eh Bowers 10/10 -- not bad since the SVS cost 1/3rd of the Bowers. Even if they were the same price, I still would have picked the SVS. I tend to be a little bit of an audio brand snob, but not blindingly like some so-called audiophiles. I paired them with the SVS SB-3000 sub. I also listened to both speaker without a sub.[SVS Rating Relative to bookshelf speakers]SVS Bass: 10/10 (B&W 7/10)SVS Depth: 10/10 (B&W 7/10)SVS Treble: 8.5/10 (B&W 9/10)SVS Soundstage: 8/10 (B&W 10/10)SVS Separation of instruments: 8/10 (B&W 9/10)Listening Fun & Engaging: 9/10 (B&W 7.5/10)Build Quality: 9/10 (B&W 10/10)Cost Value vs. Sound Quality: 10/10 (B&W 7/10)
