I have used all 4 variants/thicknesses of this product to re-apply/replace the thermal pads on my Gigabyte RTX 4070 card.The 4070 card uses .5mm, 1.0mm and 2.0 variants as far as I can measure. Heat dissipation has definitely increased and I am able to get 5%+ higher overclocking memory than I did with the stock thermals. The fans behavior is also more consistent which leads me to believe It is more evenly disbursing heat through the heat sink then the stock pads.It is easy to work with and does not tear or rip. It compresses great. The 2.0mm pads compress very well, with some bounce back to ensure it will seat against both chip and heat sink surfaces once you tight it down. You can press on it with your finger and watch it come back up a tad over the course of a minute or two. You can compress it at least 50% which goes for all thicknesses.I would highly recommend using these thermals for anybody who is looking to change or upgrade them on any electronic devices based on what I've seen with my RTX 4070 card. Much better then the thermal putty I've used on game consoles in the past.

I thought a really good test would be to install some of these pads on a GPU that is a bit older and has had a fair bit of use, so I dusted of my Sapphire Nitro RX 580 and took it apart. The paste on the GPU was super dry and crusty so that was going to be replaced with some Thermal Grizzly Duronaut I have for testing, but the stock thermal pads used on the VRAM and VRM's weren't in awful condition, but were definitely not like new anymore. So that I replaced those pads with the TG Advance 0.5mm pads along with the connection from the VRM's to the metal backplate. You'll see that in the photos I've included with this review.The difference in temps while gaming was noticeable. The RX 580 doesn't appear to have a temp sensor for the VRAM so I physically touched the card to get an idea of the before and after. The GPU was definitely cooler using the Duronaut thermal paste, so that definitely played a role in the heatsink and backplate feeling much cooler to the touch that before.Just to give you and idea of that difference, the GPU used to idle in the mid to high 40's and in FPS games like Generation Zero, Deep Rock Galactic and Counter Strike 2, It would be around 75 C. Now it's idling around 38 C and in those same games, it didn't go above 68 C once. I'd say that is a good result and I would recommend these thermal pads.A really nice thing about these, is that they come in a bunch of different sizes for pretty much whichever GPU you have. Or whatever you have that might require a thermal pad.There are some things to be careful with when applying these though. First, use a really sharp razor/utility/exacto knife. It will make cutting these to size SOOO much easier. These pads, like I suppose most if not all thermal pads, are delicate. They rip/tear VERY easily, so take your time and don't man handle them. The last and most important thing to remember, is that there is a plastic film on both sides that HAS to come off or you are just installing a heat insulator. Very bad for electronics that need heat dissipation. You'll see in one of my photos that I am holding a cut to size piece up to one of the VMRAM modules. It still has the blueish plastic on it. I hadn't taken it off yet, but I did after taking the picture. Needed to replace some old, dried-out thermal pads on my motherboard VRMs and also wanted something better for an NVMe SSD heatsink. These Thermal Grizzly Minus Pad Advance pads worked perfectly. They're easy to cut to the exact size needed with scissors or a sharp blade, and the 0.5mm thickness was just right for my application, allowing good contact without being too thick or thin.Performance-wise, they seem to do a great job. Temperatures on the components I used them on dropped a few noticeable degrees compared to the stock pads, which is exactly what I was hoping for. Being electrically non-conductive gives peace of mind when working around sensitive electronics too. They are a bit pricey compared to some generic pads, but the quality and performance seem worth it, especially for critical components. Just handle them carefully as they can be a bit delicate.

Thermal Grizzly - not much more needs to be said here. If you've ever used their product(s), you're more than likely a fan. Having used all the different variations and sizes of this product, my opinion remains the same: Excellent product line.I used this specific pad for a couple of custom rebuilds on GPUs. As expected, temps dropped, performance went up and another ecstatic customer. The fit depends more on you than the product itself, as they provide you with ample amounts of playroom for function / application. If these are anything like the rest of them, I'm not concerned about the longevity... they will work until you don't want them to.Another excellent product from Thermal Grizzly.
