I was looking for a small machinist ruler, and the TISUR Titanium Straight Edge Ruler initially seemed like a great option based on its description. However, after receiving it, I found it very difficult to justify its $38.99 price tag due to several disappointing aspects.First, while the titanium material is tough and highly durable (ideal for machinist tools) the overall value just isn’t there. The spotty lettering infill is poorly executed, and the choice of low-contrast markings makes it harder to read than it should be. Additionally, the surface finish, despite being CNC-machined, is not as smooth as expected for this price point. I didn’t measure flatness, but accuracy seems solid based on my caliper depth gauge set at 1.00mm.The ruler’s 3mm thickness (7.5mm at its thickest point) makes it robust, and while the 8mm hex wrench cutout is an interesting novelty, it doesn’t add meaningful value. At best, it serves as a convenient keychain connection point, but if I needed an 8mm hex wrench, I already have plenty of better tools for that job. While it could function decently as a depth gauge, the exceptionally high price makes it impossible to recommend, especially when there are far more affordable and equally functional options available. This ruler simply doesn’t deliver enough quality or value to justify the cost.Verdict: 1.5 star due to poor value for the price.

I grabbed this because I needed a smaller ruler so this seemed to be like a good option. At 5 inches it was smaller than I really wanted, but figured it would do.It's built well and solid, but that's about where the pleasantries end for this I'm afraid. The numbering is visible, but would have been been better if it was a crispy white. It would make it easier to read. Along with that, they didn't put a 5" line on the ruler which seems like a weird oversight. The flat portion and nut wrench on the back are arguably pointless, so if they're driving the price up, would be better left off.Which brings me to my final point. For something that costs more than a 6" woodpeckers ruler, there's really nothing that would convince me this is remotely worth the price point.Overall I wouldn't recommend.
