I now remember to unplug the charger when not in use. I understand that leaving it plugged in will shorten its life, which may explain why my previous charger failed.

Good replacement for the old charger which broke.I noticed in the instructions that it said to unplug it when finished charging. Perhaps leaving it plugged in is what killed our old one.
