Lightweight and too small for my big quarterhorse.Gave it to my neighbor for her pony.

Nice not to have that split second where I pray she doesn't just take off while I'm switching from harness to bridal. Harness is on & just slip the bit in when ready to ride. plus when out on trail you can just slip bit out and let them graze (for those of us who do not like to let horses graze with their bit in their mouth) and you can tie them up without switching back to the standard harness. The bit and reins that came with this went right in the trash though. Just swap out with your own.

I was very disappointed with this item; it's going back. The nylon is stiff and bulky. You have to unbuckle the throatlatch to get it on, which makes the whole noseband dangle awkwardly. It would be even harder if you tried to put it on with the bit hangers in place -- yet they are hard to remove thanks to very stiff clips that hurt your fingers as you force them open, and feel like they're going to break with much use.I ordered "horse" size. The noseband and headstall portion seem to be on the small end of "horse" size, and the throatlatch is too small for my mustang mare. There isn't nearly as much room in the throatlatch as you'd have in a size large Weaver nylon web halter. The bridle comes with a very poor quality curb bit (if you buy it, use the bit for home decor, not in your horse's mouth!) but that doesn't affect my review since I wasn't expecting a bit at all.My recommendation? Go with a beta/biothane trail or endurance bridle instead. The Distance Depot sells good ones.
