I use this brush often and am happy to say it hasn't shed at all, some of these kinds of brushes are worse than dogs LOL, anyway, I am happy with this one.

Los he utilizado (pedí uno y después otro al comprobar su calidad de desempeño) para embadurnar huevo en panadería y otro para aplicar aceites y otras sustancias a carnes asadas. Uno para cada actividad. Nunca los he lavado con detergente ,solo agua caliente y un poco de sal. Así creo yo , o imagino que no erosiono ni echo a perder la ecología de los pelillos de estás brochas.Buena calidad hasta el momento

The width and density of this brush saves me a lot of time in working with my filo pastry. I’ve used it so many times since I bought it and it’s washed well, keeping its shape and working as well as it did when it was brand new. Clearly the identical brush I bought as my “back up” brush, can stay wrapped at the back of the drawer for some time to come.

I like that it holds a lot of melted butter. I use it often when I make cinnamon rolls for painting the rolled out dough with melted butter. It has lost maybe three hairs, and I do not consider that a problem. I have washed it in the dishwasher, and, so far, so good, but I was wondering if down the road the finish on the wood handle may degrade. The dishwasher does such a good job of getting it clean.

I have several pastry brushes, but when I make something with phyllo dough, since every second counts, I want to brush butter on the dough quickly with a wide brush. This does the job quite well. Fortunately, I haven't experienced the shedding that other reviews mention. It's a good, sturdy brush that does what you expect it to do.I'm deducting a star because it doesn't have a storage cover to protect the bristles. I also wish Amazon had shipped it in a package that prevented the bristles from getting squished and misshapen. Otherwise, I recommend it.
