This fiberglass is a nice tight fine weave and light gauge, I would not use this for a big entire layup but it will certainly work quite well for small jobs where I want to get multiple layers without much layer build-up depth... The black color is unique and you could use this as a decorative top layer to get a faux carbon fiber look or a black fiberglass that doesn't need painting... I can certainly see this light gauge cloth being very appealing to model builders due to its cosmetic-looking weave and lightweight...

Fibers are all pulled out of place round the fold lines, sometimes even leaving gaps. Not fixable. If you want a smooth finish and consistent pattern, buy something else. Returned.

Perfect! Tightly woven! Perfect thickness to do numerous tasks. I used this on a skateboard to help it last longer from a small Crack. I layered both sides of the board for strength. It sanded easily also- had to go back and put a second layer on one side because of the contours of board, sanding etc.The black is what I wanted, easy paint went on and stuck good.I didn't want fiberglass Matt- that's really thick and I thought it'd be overkill and wouldn't lay down good for the skateboard contours.I used epoxy and dripped it Inside the small cracks and ends of the wood layers.I used a roller and put a thin layer on the wood, then placed cloth and then rolled more. I did one side one day then the other. Sanded and painted. Fairly quick project except waiting for it to set and then cure.Probably be a good idea to reinforce an existing board if you do tricks.I have plenty left over for other tasks, especially since I know how it is flexible and will strengthen up lots of different thingsUse the Matt for the bottom of a wheelbarrow, etc. Use the cloth for more flexibility and contours

I used this to reinforce an RC car body. People often use that fiberglass drywall mesh tape so I tried this.It is much thinner than a fiberglass cloth you might use for a boat or layup. But that can be a good thing, and in my case it was. It allows it to easily be permeated by whatever you are going to use as a filler - I used shoe goo in this case. It holds together very well too, more like a fiberglass window screen would than how a fiberglass fabric would. Also very handy depending on your use.The trade off of the thinness is that you'd have to use more layers to get the same strength. But it's a really good level for what I needed and extremely cheap for so much material.
