Muy Buen producto, ya habia usado un modelo mas pequeño de esta misma marca y funcionan muy bien, es mucho mas facil y rapido calentar el agua en esta tetera que en el Microondas

I have owned this Kettle for a year now and have used it 1-2x daily. It has never rusted or pitted. I like that it will quickly boil water for my french press coffee and that I can also manually stop it before it reaches boiling point for my herbal tea. I don't want full boiling water for my herbal tea, but I do for my coffee. The blue lights on the base of the kettle are really fascinating. My teenage son chooses it to boil a full kettle of water to then pour it in a pot on the stove to begin cooking pasta. It's much faster than waiting for the pot to boil even on a gas stove. My teenager is always hungry and eats between meals and wants it fast. We don't use a microwave for health reasons, but feel that we get the instant gratification of water heated fast because of this Kettle.My daughter is in a dorm and was able to take this Kettle, because it is absolutely cool to the touch on the plate underneath and even the bottom of the kettle. I was quite impressed while holding the kettle full of just boiled water - that even though the glass is hot, the base is cool to touch and not a fire hazard. Very important in a dorm.I have purchased 3 of these. Two additional ones for gifts. My good friend said her kids all raved about the blue lights and that they use it daily, too.TIPS:(1) Pour out any leftover water immediately after using so that the steam will evaporate completely. (I've never had any rust spots).(2) About every three months, soak and swish inside of kettle with white distilled vinegar to remove any accumulated hard water residue on the stainless steel bottom inside carafe, to remove hard water deposits.The kettle is pretty perfect in function, price and aesthetics. I highly recommend it and will definitely buy it again.

I bought this kettle for work. I am a librarian who works on a small staff and am frequently the only one in the main reading room. This means that I can't just leave to make myself a cup of tea whenever I want to because I'd be leaving the reading room unattended. I fill up water bottles and the kettle in the morning put them in my mini fridge and then I can make tea while not actually leaving the reading room.PROS:-It is convenient and very easy to use.-The only plastic is a small piece attached to the lid but it doesn't actually have to touch the water if you raise the lid when pouring.-It is easy to clean because you can get your hands inside it and it's all glass.-The blue lights are relaxing and a nice touch when I'm making tea.-It heats up a full kettle in under 5 minutes.-The plastic heating unit does not feel hot even immediately after heating up a full kettle.-The option of winding up the cord in between uses is great for storage.CONS:-It makes a lot of noise as the water gets hot, even though it isn't boiling. [For a library it's embarrassing, but maybe in a different setting it might not be a big deal]-If you try to pour too fast it starts leaking a fair amount of water all over. If you pour slowly this doesn't happen.-The cord for the heating unit is very short. It should be just fine if you are using it on a counter top with a plug in above it, but if you're using it on a desk with a power strip under the desk, it doesn't quite reach. In my case I had to lift the power strip and let it dangle while heating the kettle.-Because in my case the cord is too short, I have to only plug it in while using it which a little inconvenient.However, overall as long as you keep in mind to pour slowly and have a set up to compensate for the short cord, it heats well and quickly, it is sturdily made as far as I can tell, and is spiffy looking. If anything breaks down in the future I'll make sure to update my review.

I really really love this kettle. It is simply the coolest thing to look at while you're cooking. If you have a modern kitchen, it will make it look even better. It also does its job pretty well, heating up up to 1.7L of water in good time, and allowing for easy filling and pouring of water with a snap lid, as opposed to the loose lid in the previous red model that I hated pulling off every single time I needed to refill the water. The handle is also large and sturdy, making it easy to control the direction of the flow of water coming out from the spout.Even though my comments below may make it seem like it's not worth the buy, it actually is so beautiful to look at that it makes all of its shortcomings seem like nothing. You have to see it to understand how amazing the cool blue hue of the light looks when it is glowing on your countertop, and how satisfying it feels to actually be able to SEE the bubbles billow up to the surface.Only drawbacks are that:i) there is deposition of scales due to concentration of water as it heats and evaporates;ii) the scales drift into the water and the filter at the spout doesn't prevent all of it from escaping, as the filter is slightly narrower than the spout opening;iii) water leaks from the sides of the filter at the spout if you try to pour too much water at once, so only a narrow stream of water can be poured at any given time without spillage;iv) it will keep boiling if you don't close the cap all the way, so make sure you have it snapped shut all the way before hitting the boil button.Still, every kettle has scales deposit at the base over time, and this kettle is simply too cool not to love!

I bought this kettle because I wanted an inexpensive kettle that still worked well and also looked nice sitting on the counter in our kitchen. I didn't want to spend too much money either, and so far this kettle has been a great value.As far as basic functioning goes, it works very well and heats up water much quicker than I expected. If I fill it up to the minimum line, which is half a liter and more than enough water for a cup of tea or drip coffee, it takes about one minute to boil. It is the same amount of time as heating it up in the microwave, but I find the water from the kettle produces a better cup of tea.At first I was skeptical about the blue light and thought it would look tacky, but it turns out that it has been a helpful feature because as I am multitasking or in an out of the kitchen I can easily see that the water has finished boiling so I don't forget about it. Also, with my old stainless steal kettle, I would sometimes think that I had turned on the water only to find out five minutes later that I had forgotten to plug it in! So, the blue light is great for preventing this!My favorite thing about the glass kettle though is that I no longer have to worry about cleaning all the streaks and fingerprints off with my old stainless steal kettle. This kettle still looks sleek though because it has some stainless steal on the handle and the base, but so far I haven't seen any streaks or finger prints to clean off of those areas.The only problem I have encountered so far is that the stainless steel on the inside of kettle that heats up the water has started to discolor. I boiled the kettle with a vinegar/water solution and was still not able to get rid of the discoloration. I think all kettles experience this, but usually you can't see it. The nice thing is that the opening at the top is quite wide, which makes it easy to clean inside.Overall, I would recommend this kettle and would buy it again because the positives have out weighed the negatives and I think anyone would be hard pressed to find a glass kettle as good as this one at this price point.

UPDATE 3: 8 1/2 years later and still going strong!UPDATE 2: Five years later, this kettle is still boiling and in use daily. With regular descaling it looks nearly as good as the day I received it. The switch, lid, spout, are all intact and functioning perfectly. Love it and see no reason to replace it.UPDATE 1: Sixteen months of daily use later, my kettle works (and looks) as it did the day I received it. Highly recommended.I've owned this kettle for little over a month and am very happy with this purchase. It's rated at 1500W, so I just need to remember not to use my toaster (on the same circuit) while boiling water. Since it boils .5 liters in less than two minutes, I don't need to wait too long before making toast. Other than at breakfast, this kettle is put to use at least two or three times every evening and all throughout the day on weekends.The glass construction is sturdy and flaw-free, while the stainless steel heating plate stands up well to the (somewhat hard) San Jose water. Every couple of weeks I'll swish around some white vinegar and the kettle is once again like new.For those concerned with BPAs, there is a small mesh screen for the pouring spout, and appears easy to detach from the lid if not wanted. I do not notice any plastic odors or flavors from leaving it in place.I do like the blue LED illuminating the kettle, it's evocative of a traditional kettle over a gas flame. The kettle automatically shuts off roughly ten seconds after reaching a full, rolling boil.A very good value.
