I am really pleased with this purchase. Included in the package was a hard cover brochure of the history of Kato and a DVD which showed more detail of the history and the products.

The coupler was very easy to change with a little patience, it's like a puzzle disassembling the coal tender but I did it with ease! Great little bit of history, very impressed!!

This is another fine quality product from Kato with two exceptions. 1)The couplers are historic, not functional. I had to send this in to Kato's shop to have the couplers changed to the more practical, functioning MT type magnetic couplers. This was an additional expense, making the beautiful little C50 even more expensive. 2)The historic material, notes, etc. that came with are all in Japanese so is useless to me. If Kato wanted to share the importance of this historic locomotive with the rest of the world, they might have provided the material in other languages.
