This fan is awesome! It looks great and works amazingly. Installation was tough! Wiring diagram was a little confusing until I found the controller. All the wiring plus the controller were difficult to get up in there safely. Its worth the trouble! I also had a hard time connecting it to alexa. The other comments/reviews was very helpful here! I did have to change my wifi network to 2.4 ghz only, then forget network on my phone and readd the 2.4 ghz. After that I was able to find/connect the fan. We dont really use the cheap remote since alexa is on command.

I have to give this fan 5 stars because of the app. I bought it in 2021 and immediately lost the remote. It wasn't a problem until I lost power and the light would go on but not the fan. It's March 2023 and I just downloaded the Fansio app. I am technologically challenged! I was able to add my fan to the app and just got my fan working again. So easy to do!

Pairing instructions to app are horrible. Finally got it to work and then it reset itself a few days later and won’t repair. Light points down and not out( my fault for not paying attention to design). Makes room feel dark. Hard to assemble because there is not much room to work with the wires and the Wi-Fi box.

We had lots of family coming for 4th of July and our old fan just wasn’t working well. We installed this fan in no time and didn’t even have to balance the blades. It is quiet and really pushes the air. Great!

This is a really attractive, almost silent fan. Our electrician installed it along with a few other fans in our house, and said it was "medium" in terms of difficulty. He said it was actually made a lot harder by the placement of some of the screws, since he had to use a "stubby screwdriver" to reach them, but it was otherwise okay. I like the remote functions, and really appreciate how quiet the operation is - you only hear noise if it's in a completely silent room or when it switches between low/medium/high. The light is a warmish white and fully dimmable. Overall very good. Some things I wish I'd known before I'd requested this fan:1. Yes, it can be flush mounted. The description notes that it can use the 4" rod or be installed on a slanted ceiling, but it can ALSO be mounted flush to the ceiling, that is, minus the 4" rod. This is great for those of us with older houses and lower ceilings.2. The Fansio app is alright, and optional. It has some cool functions that make it worth installing - fan schedules chief among them for us. There's also a sleep timer, light timer, and a seasonal reminder (to switch modes, but you still have to climb up and physically flip the switch). Installation of the fans into the app was pretty straightforward, but did take a little time since it was definitely not flawless. But no problems once it's installed.3. The remote has some non-standard, very useful functions, including: light dimming (hold the light button); "random lights" function to pretend you're home; delay light off (to let you leave the room before the light turns off); and random fan speed to "simulate a natural breeze." We find the latter vaguely annoying, since you hear a click every time the fan changes speed. The other features are quite useful, though. You don't have to use the app for these functions, the remote does them - and has a handy reminder what all the buttons do printed on the back. Why don't more remotes do this?4. Integration with Google Home is sub-par. (We don't have Alexa anymore, so I can't address that) Once you link to Fansio, Google Home will see 2 devices - the fan and the light. Add them both to the room via the Home app, and you can turn them on and off with Assistant or the Home app. You can also dim the light. That's it. You can't change the fan speed, turn on timers, or any of the other functions you can do with the remote and Fansio app. I'm honestly not sure I'd bother adding the fans to Google Home now that I know this, given the extremely limited functions. I guess the luxury of turning the fan/light on/off with our voice is all they thought we'd want/need.Overall, it's a very good fan with very limited smart capabilities. I'm not entirely certain it's worth the relatively high price tag ($242 as of this writing) compared the same brand's not-smart fans, so only 4 stars. If they improve Google Home integration, 5 stars - but only then.
